re: Do our struggles on the field make anyone question the "3 star" argument?

Team was bleeding for the past 3-4 years but O has accelerated it. Now he's going to be seeing major gaps in talent because the recruiting classes will be mediocre again. So to answer your question no...why would anyone trust him?
Have to hand it to the snake to be in the positions he's in. Worked the system and understands how Louisiana culture works with the good ole boys network. Slithered himself in and stole millions from LSU. He'd make a perfect Louisiana politician. Upgraded from a flat boat to a yacht. A guy who absolutely did not deserve to coach LSU and any reasonable football fan be it LSU fan or not would agree. Karma has a way of biting you in the arse and LSU made their bed for how they treated Miles last year. He absolutely needed to go but not the way they did it. They deserve everything hitting that administration right now.
Program is probably set back for many years now. He's not going to be able to keep elite talent like Miles did so every year it will be a few more years setting us back because the remaining talent will get ever slimmer. It really does look like a decade recovery the more you analyze it. We're now the new Texas. What makes it worse is I doubt we could get a really great coach at this point due to how badly Alleva handled Miles 2 years ago, last year and if somehow O gets fired within the next year. No established coach in his right mind will come here even flashing the big $$$ to them. We're going to have to relegate ourselves to finding a young hungry coach who can prove himself and those are far bigger risks.
In short: We're fricked so you're just going to have to deal with mediocrity for years to come
