Back when I used to hover around the 90s, I could once in a blue moon throw up a low 80s score. Just had everything come together on a fairly easy course. Again, we're talking once in a blue moon but still hard to call a guy out on.

A 76 is just stupid tho. I've gotten to where my bad rounds are mid-upper 80s and average rounds are 81-83. I play a lot and still rarely break 80, and if I do it's 78-79.

A 76 isn't just getting on a hot streak of good ball striking, it's doing everything right over 18 holes.

A 76 is one bad swing, maybe a few missed putts for par, the whole day. It's not perfect, but a 22 ain't gonna have multiple rounds like that.

I'd fight him/not pay the bet.
