Is the nerve still compressed? I had weakness and occasional twinges in my calf/sciatic nerve for a few years after mine since I put off surgery so long and the nerve was damaged by being compressed so long. My calf was smaller than my healthy calf for several years too. That eventually got better. I can recall having some pain about 6-8 months after surgery. Had another MRI done and it all looked ok. Doc told me to stop being a pussy.
