This is the conservatives' version of virtue signalling. Liberals love letting everyone know how open and accepting they are, conservatives love letting everyone know how patriotic they are.
Come to think of it, like 90% of the discussion about this falls into those two categories. I wish everyone would shut up so I could watch football in peace.
