And that is where I think it could get interesting in court if they do fire Pitino and if he does sue for his buyout.

If you seriously think this is gonna escalate to a full-scale lawsuit with discovery and all that, you have lost your mind. It's very plausible both parties will reach a severance settlement bc neither want more information revealed and published in public record than what has already been revealed and both sides are presenting grounds for their actions. It's a reasonable inference.
