...then why is the flag draped on every coffin of every service person who dies? That flag is then given to the family. It will become an heirloom and will be in a glass/wood case. The flag is a sacred symbol of the unity of our country, and it is near to the heart of every patriotic American. It represents the blood shed by those who have fought in wars to protect our Constitution with their blood.
A person who chooses to protest during the national anthem DOES disrespect our country, anthem, flag, thus they are being disrespectful to the dead who shed their blood while fighting to protect our Constitution, and that disrespectful act WILL anger real American patriots.
