I'm of the opinion that Miles for a long time was a great coach, he just couldn't compete with Saban & could no longer have the talent gap for his outdated schemes. Even if people disagree that Miles was at one point a great coach, they can't deny he had a philosophy & was able to execute it from all aspects of leading a program.

What is O's philosophy?? O's never even called played besides a collosal failure at Ole Miss. His spoken philosophy to this point has been whatever in the hell his media moles think the people want to hear. His actual game philosophy is just a shittier version of Les's scheme. His recruiting philosophy has been a step down from the prior regime. No one knows how the hell he manages a program, because he's been utterly incompetent at it.

I'll touch on everything you said. First Miles exceeded pretty much everyone's expectations while at LSU. Sure he wasted a couple of all time great rosters but the guy won a ton of games and a national title so he deserves a lot of credit. I've said this multiple times in this thread but it doesn't seem to register so I'll say it again. There was absolutely nothing wrong with Miles style of play, it wasnt outdated and it wasn't old. The problem with Miles offense was a couple things, he started this thing where he had to pre approve every play on the call sheet before games and he started calling the checks to the QB during games. This basically neutered the OC and QB and made us completely predictable. As far as Os philosophy he never called plays at Ole Miss I don't know where you're getting that and saying he has no philosophy and Miles does because Miles has an offensive background is incorrect also. Os philosophy is to win the game at the line of scrimmage on both sides. Ppl bitched because Miles did nothing but run the ball so Ogeron brings in a more diverse OC to change that and now after getting the kind if OC everyone begged for you're attacking him for it which is typical. You say he doesn't recruit as well even though the data says you're wrong about that. Miles recruiting classes over the past 5 years, his best 5 combined BTW, have him averaging the 4th best class in the country. Those classes didn't turn out to be nearly as good as they promised to be because we've had a mass exodus of players with a large portion of them being the top guys in those classes. So while his classes maybe 4th on signing day by the time kickoff gets here they're more in the 15 range. Coach Os first class in a transition year was ranked from 5th to 7th so saying recruiting has dropped by levels is simply not true. It's funny the first 2 games when our freshmen were playing great the narrative was Miles recruited them then after Saturday when ppl started saying we aren't as talented as we thought we were the narrative changed to Ogeron can't recruit lol.
