If you don't sign your soul to Disney, have $3-$5 million ready to invest, or have a friend in the music biz, your odds of "making it" to superstar status today is essentially zero irrespective of talent. The music industry isn't a competition any more, it is a collusion. There are literally less than 12 companies who control ALL entertainment and distribution in this country including how you access the internet, your cable provider, tv channels, streaming websites, radio stations, record labels, movie producers, etc. the ladder has been pulled up in an insular industry too risk averse to gamble on talent, which instead results to straight up brainwashing via repeated regurgitation of the same crap ad nauseum ad infinitum.
