Elvis knew music and could play. He was the first. He could perform in every genre of music.
Though I know Bieber has some talent, he whisper sings and his songs are largely not memorable.

Elvis played rhythm guitar, man. He was a perfectly fine guitarist but let's not act like he was a whiz. I don't even value instrument proficiency that much but I don't think the fact that he plays the guitar is an argument for his greatness.
Bieber can play the drums/guitar, maybe more?
Again, I'm not saying Bieber's music is better. Elvis is great and he was a superstar.
