I think there were several factors that played out in this game.

- We did not play a disciplined football game.

- Mississippi St is a better team than we thought.

- Overall, we are young as hell. These types of games happen to young teams.

- While I am not the type to complain about the refs, the refs did make some obvious bad calls that had an impact on the game. It is a whole different ball game if that first TD wasn't called back. Not saying we would have won, but it would have been a different game.

When LSU losses there will be a lot of overreacting, but everyone needs to settle down and see how this plays out. Sometimes a loss can ultimately have a positive impact on a team down the road. So let's just see what happens from here and just be cool...

I think the problem is LSU was trying to compete at the next tier, not get into battles with the lower tier--and by "battles" I mean losing by four touchdowns to a perennial doormat. Unfortunately, LSU is now contending with the Mississippi schools rather than those from Alabama.
