Most people are evenly yoked. Ever notice really obese women have obese husbands (and often obese children)? Conversely, highly fit people generally seek each other out. Being fat or lean shapes your whole identity as a person. You don't see morbidly obese and fit folks pursuing the same activities or hobbies.
Diet and fitness is a lifestyle. Attraction is only part of it. I stay super active and wouldn't enjoy being with someone who sat on the sofa all day eating disgusting amounts of food. We would never make it as a couple because I would be out running, biking, hiking and camping.
True story- a guy I know weighed 340 pounds and his wife weighed at least that, if not more. Over a few years, he lost 150 pounds while she did not. They divorced and it wasn't because he was suddenly turned off by his fat wife and knew he could do better. It was because he realized he enjoyed playing sports and pushing himself physically and mentally and embraced life with a new passion. With her weight, she couldn't do any of these things and expressed zero interest in doing anything other than eating out at restaurants five days a week.
