I get a new phone every 6 months or so through work. Because that's how long I go before I break it.
I don't think I'll get this one when I break my next one though because Apple is still going to have an iphone 8.
I'd probably have to just buy it on my own. So probably not.

Buying a $999 phone to checkout/use the new features for said phone once, just doesn't seem smart to me.
