my experience with going up north (i've only been a couple times) is that everything seems way nicer and safer looking and the people are easy to get along with and don't try to take my guns and make fun of me for losing the civil war
it's like they tell us the north is full of snobby mean people when we're young so we'll never go up there

And the vast majority of the state is filled with conservative outdoorsman. The western cities just control the statewide elections
