Bc dividing a fraction is multiplying the inverse

Dividing by fractions is easy as pie. Flip the divisor and multiply.

Division is multiplication of the reciprocal. Any second grader can tell you that.

whenever you divide a number by a fraction you can also multiply that number by the reciprocal of the fraction. therefore 3/ 1/3 is the same as 3*3.

How did you know to multiply?
By adding the parenthesis you changed the problem... which changed the outcome...
As it is originally written, you subract the 3 from 9 before you divide by 1/3rd...
