They were sitting in an old oil well site by Lake Martin, covered in mud, in order to protect themselves from mosquitos after going missing Monday evening. The pair was in good health, and they're being checked out at the hospital. The 7-year-old was extremely happy to be found and was seen laughing and in good spirits following the rescue.

This.

To be sucked into a bayou with a swift flooded current, she did well to keep the canoe from rolling over, avoiding felled trees and God knows what else. Letting the current take them until she had any kind of control.

What a nightmare and thank God they are safe.
