I'm so sick of this ridiculous statement. The only idiots I've seen say this are the O detractors. Anyway, unless you are from SW Louisiana, people likely don't talk like Orgeron.
There is a difference between seeing the benefits of hiring a LA native because he understands the recruiting landscape and connections, has a higher likelihood of retention and can navigate the geopolitics of the LA university system and a guy's accent.
