He doesn't run the offense or the defense.
It's literally his selling point.

He may not run either... BUT I am sure he is involved to a degree in both.....

Les Miles had the benefit of Aranda and still managed to get fired near the beginning of the season. All of this BS that O is just benefiting from his coordinators is bunk.
Head coaching duties are different from coordinators. Micromanaging is never a great strategy, no matter how much you know about that job. The best managers hire good people, clearly state what they want from them, give them the support and tools that they need to succeed, and hold them accountable for the results.
You don't have to do every job along the way to be an effective manager. If that were the case, no large business would succeed. The fact that he doesn't run the offense or the defense isn't his selling point. The fact that he runs the team and effectively manages his talented coordinators will be, if he continues to have a successful season.
And sure, that could be very attractive for potential coordinators in the future, should we lose either of the current two. Lot's of talent, easy recruiting, great salary, freedom in a positive environment without a micromanaging megalomaniac, and fantastic exposure for potential future jobs. What hot shot coordinator wouldn't want that?
