If that was it's potential then I'm worried about this year. LSU made a lot of mistakes that they won't be able to do against good teams. It isn't like BYU is a top 25 team

While this is true, thankfully the mistakes they made are all easily correctable if the staff is doing what they are supposed to. Time will tell, there.
Also, we’ve seen MUCH worse starts from the Tigers recently. The two openers vs Wisconsin come to mind. Last year’s game was a flat-out dismal performance. This was a massive improvement from that one.
