That has absolutely no effect on the fact that they are overpaid.
The owners are stupid by offering too much and overpaying. Having a right to do something does not mean someone should/has to do it.

I enjoy the fact that you think an associaition of some of the best businessmen in the world are overpaying these athletes for no apparent reason.
Maybe, just maybe, like actors quality talent is actually really valuable. These athletes generate an insane amount of money, why shouldn't they get a significant portion of that?
