re: Where does Mike Tyson rank in boxing's pantheon?

Just below, I mean there's so many legends in boxing dating back to Jack Johnson that maintained excellence over a long stretch in their careers, even Ali despite that half his prime was revoked due to the conscientious objector controversy, and it's that longevity that distinguishes the Mount Rushmore boxers from the very good boxers. Iron Mike just had too short a prime and never really regained that status after the Buster Douglas fight for me to justify ranking him that high.
