I remember having a pair of JNCO jeans.
On a separate note, the goths/ravers/whatever they want to be called how do they find enough money to buy those awful clothes and "styles"? Are they all basically drug dealers? Work at the local fantasy game shop? I don't get how they have even a pot to shite in.

I had a few pairs around 93-94. They were pretty baggy then but not the gigantic ones like the guy in the article is wearing. Those were more late 90's. The earlier versions were more like this:
