For me it is a given that I have to watch on TV because for me to watch a live game I have to fly 8,000 miles to Tiger Stadium. Now, I do it sometimes and catch 2 games or 3 if I stay long enough during my trip.

But I have some cool house parties as I am getting ready for the BYU game as I have some buddies that work for OXY, BP Noble Drilling and ExxonMobil and ZADCO coming to my house for the game. We are having shrimp n crab gumbo and I am making bacon wrapped shrimp and fried boudin balls for appetizers. The game starts at 5:30AM due to the time difference but all these guys above have off due to EID holiday. Here the work week starts Sunday-Thurs but they get this Sunday and Monday off.

Our typical long day tailgate/housegate party- This Saturday we are driving in the morning from Abu Dhabi to Dubai (1:15 min) and play a round at Emirates Golf Club. Have lunch then drive back. I will stop at the seafood market and buy some crabs and shrimp and my maid and I will start preparing. Actually I will boil the crabs and help her peel them to get the lump crabmeat out, but I will probably eat 50% of what I peel. Yummy... Might take a 2 hour nap from 6-8pm then start cooking the gumbo and start watching football at 8pm which are the 11:00AM early games. I will have my slingbox set up to my pc to my 55" TV, another PC with ESPN Player hooked to a another 45" TV on a stand rolled into my living room and a friend will bring his Slingbox which we will hook up to another 45" spare TV. My friends are grads from Kentucky so that game comes on at 12 midnight, another from Arizona State, another from Minnesota, one La Tech and the other an LSU grad.

And some of you may have remembered, I had the LSU games at my friends Bourbon Street Restaurant and Bar when in Bangkok as that is my second home. I will watch a couple of games there in November. In October I will watch 2 games- 1 in Bali and 1 in Jakarta during my trip to the Bali Classic Golf Tournament.

Here is to watching LSU games at home on TV in Abu Dhabi or where you are in the world, or in Bangkok and Bali, and making the most of it.

But for this thread, I prefer going to games and like I said sometimes I travel 8,000 miles to go to a game, then hopefully catch 2 of them while in USA. So, I watch many more on TV but would prefer to be there inside Tiger Stadium!!!
