That being said, anybody got any hotel recs near the Cotton Bowl?

You don't want to stay near the Cotton Bowl. For a day game, I'd say stay in downtown or uptown at a hotel near the green line, but DART usually shuts down at midnight, which might not be late enough for an 8:30 p.m. start. Perhaps it if does move to the Cotton Bowl, DART might extend service a little later on select lines. That would be one of the big hurdles they would need to overcome, unless they just want everyone to drive and sort of limit the crowd that way.

The Cotton Bowl doesn't have lights. So it can't be a night game.

And a day game there is really going to mess with the TV schedules. The ESPN channels have all got games already allocated throughout the day. So my guess is that it won't be at the CB, they will need to find a stadium which can host it at night to keep the intended time slot.
