Those small numbers makes it even more baffling to me that trump wouldnt condemn them initially. No one would tell him to pump the brakes if he had done so. Or at least no one worth taking seriously.
I would argue that most of us would not have even noticed what he said. The media is constantly dissecting every word President Trump says, though, and they think they have a winning issue. I think that President Trump would have said it different if he'd known how much backlash he would get.
Let's face it, it doesn't matter what he said, the left would have found a way to criticize it.

Let's face it, it was a brilliant move on the part of ANTIFA. They have marketed themselves as an "anti-fascist" group for years, and we're irrelevant - because they didn't have any actual fascists to fight. With an influx of money from some radical leftists, they have tried to label Donald Trump as a fascist, and it was getting them in trouble because nobody bought into their violent tactics and nobody believed that Trump and his supporters are Fascists.
By picking a fight with the KKK and the Nazis, they were able to find their fascists. Finally they could get some positive PR.
I think liberals should be careful about supporting these loo s, thiugh, because I have a feeling that ANTIFA is going to be emboldened by their recent publicity and some of their members are going to embarrass them.
ANTIFA's leadership is smart, but most of their members are radical nuts.
