Kauai

Hiked:
Na Pali coast (longest hike we did in Hawaii)

Beach:
Eastern coast, don't remember the name

Kailua on Oahu
Southeastern coast at some Marriott place

Kauai has more of an island feel to it, Oahu is more commercialized.

ETA: we also kayaked to the Moaks from Kailua beach on Oahu
