Except that he didn't say that. He specifically excluded him. You should read the transcript.
You sound like that gotcha attempting reporter during the speech.
Don't be unhinged. Read it. If you need to add your nuance that he meant something different that's fine. Just say you are interpreting it the way you want for nuance's sake.
