Big names playing each other (not necessarily LSU vs. BYU, but in general) without either committing to a home and home.

Exposure for both programs on a bigger stage, again, without committing to a home and home.

Exposure to potential recruits in highly populated areas like Houston, Dallas, Atlanta, etc.

I guess it's hard to sell Death Valley as a tough place to play when the toughest non-conference game is Troy and Syracuse. I guess the days of seeing an 07 Va Tech come to Tiger Stadium are over.

They love to mention this point, but I'm not sure how effective this truly is.
