BYU fan here and you guys are crazy if you don't think it's a HUGE advantage for BYU to have a cupcake game first. But a bigger advantage IMHO is that we're getting you on your first game. We've had success against new coaches and systems early in the season, ask Mike Riley at Nebraska, Mike Leach at WSU, and Charlie Strong at Texas. 3 recent examples of bigger programs from P5 conferences with better recruits that would have probably had different results had we faced them a little later in the year.
