It means people need a psychological crutch in case their team has a bad year. They get the satisfaction of being able to tell everyone how they saw it coming if they do bad, then if they're wrong, they tell everyone how happy they are to be wrong.

True. Link to where I said weren't going to lose a game? We have concerns but independent, professional handicappers have us going 9-3 and no other team has better odds of winning in the SEC than Alabama.
