Judo is a nice compliment to BJJ but I honestly only dabbled in it. I got into wrestling with my game and even more so when my son wrestled for his high school team since we train together. Wrestling really transitions into BJJ well and I would look for a school to have that in the class program, personally.

Sambo is alot like BJJ where it incorporates a lot of ground submissions, but some Sambo moves are so severe that they are not allowed in training and for sure not in sport BJJ. It's kinda like a BJJ on steroids. It's an awesome martial art for self-defense.
