And more talent? So you're saying that LSU's new freshman class is more talented than the juniors and seniors that left after 2016?
1) The original post is not mine and it is not my position.
HOWEVER:
2) The defense MAY be more talented. LAST year's projected starting DE was injured before the season and missed the entire year (Christian LaCouture) He is a stud and is back. The DL is deeper and more talented than its been since the "good ole days" around here. LSU finally has LB depth. It is inexperienced. But, CERTAINLY more talented (pure talent and depth standpoint)
With the depth at DL and LB and the devastating pass rushers, the DB's will be able to settle in and be helped to develop. The youth at DB is pretty salty and there is enough experience there to help them come along.
This defense projects to be very stout. They young men have to perform, of course. But, the defense is not a worry at all and it is very, very talented and deep.

BHP - He understood what the OP was stating and is either just trying to be hypocritical or difficult.
Recall in his initial thread he stated about BYU:
He has no issue relying on historical trends of his team, just like we rely on reloading and can cite the specific examples (Delpit, Chaisson, Thornton, 2nd year White etc...). People tend to forget we were somewhat vanilla on D last year as we were absorbing an entirely new and complex system of Aranda-Ball

Just too much history as to the mindset and performance of a BYU team to think otherwise.
