BH has footwork and accuracy issues, as well as how he always had great practices but caved monumentally when the Saturday lights came on. I hope he does have success though.
Alot of the problem was Miles recruiting dual threat QBs and trying to make them into pocket passers because he knows you have to have a somewhat mobile QB to beat Alabama. Maybe he just didn't get that pro style guys can scramble and be elusive in the pocket as well.
Les had designed runs called specifically for BH, but he only called those plays when it was obvious it was coming. BH was doomed from the start at LSU, unfortunately.

Problem with that is that pro style QBs have yet to beat Nick Saban since 2007 I think (his first year at Bama). He has only lost to dual threat QBs for years now. Miles was so much of a stubborn fool that he was willing to get a dual threat, but not put him in a position to succeed. Plenty of good college OC/QB gurus that could have worked for us. The spread offense is perfect for Louisiana talent, yet he refused to go that way.

quote:A better fit for the sq peg/round hole narrative was Jefferson, who was like #10 Pro QB given a lot of carries and pretty elusive. Jennins was like #15 Pro QB IIRC and still struggling at USL with more INTs than TDs and around 300yds rushing .
