Meh' I would argue that you have a lot of gay people that enter the ministry, catholic, Protestant, whatever, trying to pray away the gay. They start with good intentions, but you can't change who you are. The stigma against gays forces all this hidden stuff.

There are a lot of activists (of all type) trying to enter the ministry, because churches are increasingly a paying gig for people who would otherwise be planning BLM or other SJW rallies for free.
