This would specifically be for crankbaits 10ft and deeper. I keep hearing about the difference in sensitivity and that's a concern, but on the other hand everywhere I fish it's just typical mud bottom. I'm not using the crankbait to find gravel or shite like that, but the occasional stump would be nice to detect. Guess I don't have a good understanding of just how much sensitivity I'd lose going to glass.

Not enough to justify one over the other for deep cranking. You'll still feel stumps and other stuff. And it's not like dead sticking a bait where you're trying to detect even the slightest bite. From my experience, a glass rod works just fine for deep cranking.
