Yeah...can't wait.
Folks...this is what Marvel has been doing since 2008 when Iron Man hit so hard. They've slowly built this universe, introduced characters...asked you to care about them.
So now...Thor plops on the window of The Milano, and immediately you're excited to see them together. It's why those screaming assholes in the hall would cackle every time you'd see a crossover. Marvel has EARNED this level of excitement. What they've done really is unprecedented.
I really REALLY wish DC had taken the slower road and done the same thing and built to their climax. It could have been so fricking amaxing!
It's why hearing media bleat about how the world mourns for the death of Superman in the opening of the JL trailer seems so weird...because they spent the better part of the BvS showing us huge portion of the world actually hated his arse. FANS of the character would have mourned his death...but no one in the universe they built did. JL looks so weighty but hasn't really earned that level of weight because other than Diana (who you like after her own movie in which she earned that admiration) you simply do not care about any of them yet. We've never met Aquaman, Cyborg or Flash and thought Batman bordered from being kind of dumb to downright silly in not being able to tell that Superman was clearly trying to save the world even if he busted things up doing so with Zod. I, as a fan, care about the characters...I just don't care about them in the movie universe they've created for us because they've done nothing yet to show us we ought to. And frankly, that needed to be done BEFORE the team-up...not during. So frustrating...
