The completion of the work on I-10 near Bluebonnet helped, it was much worse before. Some of the I 12 expansion has helped a lil as well. But as those were being completed the population kept increasing. you still have the issue on the west side which still keeps things backed up to the split anyway.

I used to make the trip to Covington/Mandeville in less than an hour pre Katrina. After that and the construction on 12 it would take two hours. Most of the time spent was just trying to get passed denham.
