Another common answer to horrendous things like this... "Leave him alone with the daddy for one hour."

I pose this question. How much could you do? Meaning how far could you go before you felt like you were losing your own humanity? The daddy in this case still has a son to raise I assume other loved ones and family. That is what would restrain me. Now if that child was all I had keeping me tethered to reality? I don't know how far I could go.
