They weren't picked by Orgeron to be on the staff. I don't see anything special about replacing 3 coaches when someone new takes over a program.

Very true, but Coach O and the fired coaches were not new to the LSU program. Hell, Coach O made Craig his replacement for recruiting coordinator right after he was named head coach.
