It's a fricking washer/dryer. It's not a luxury item. The goal is to put dirty clothes in and get clean clothes out consistently for a long time, right?
These companies rely on stupid gimmicks such as electronics and useless fluff to reel in uneducated consumers.
These products have calculator quality chip boards in an appliance that has no need for electronics. If you make the mistake of buying one because it "looks cool" then that's on you

like napoleon said, the worst idea in the last 50 years to come out is putting a microchip board on a machine that bangs clothes around and vibrates constantly
its not a matter of if but when the solders will come loose or other electronics fail.
