Apologize? Lol. This is pathological GroupThink . They know their peer group is outraged, they look around and see their Cultural Persuaders giving them permission to be outraged, and so they are. It's literally, without a doubt, not even close, the biggest episode of mass political hysteria in modern American history. There is no room for apology. They can barely breathe, let alone apologize. That would require reflection and humility. You can't do that with a torch and pitchfork in your hands and froth dribbling down your chin.Not gonna happen.
