Tom Brady elevates that team from simply playoff-contending team to Super Bowl-contending team and that's been proven consistently with his annual results, if Cassel had led the 08 Patriots to the division title and a playoff win then maybe that argument would mean more but that never happened so that's all theory. Good point Jcorye1.

You conveniently left off that the Pats were one game worse the next year when Brady came back from injury. 2008 with Cassel: 11-5.......2009 with Brady: 10-6.
