My wife and I play mk8 pretty much exclusively - she just can't seem to get into vidya games like me, no matter how hard I try, like giving her a character on FF11 or 14

I'm not a FPS fan either, but admittedly my wife is better at Splatoon that I am. It's just a no-brainer to have vertical split screen in this game for couch co-op. Nintendo's tone deafness when it comes to this issue is staggering.
