Fargo's or Martin's for BBQ.

If you like big arse steaks with fried sides go to the Country Inn in Bryan.

Go to the Dixie Chicken and drink a pitcher or beer, play some dominoes or pool, and order Tijuana Fries with your burger. (Since it is not football season you may actually be able to enjoy the Chicken.)

Besides laugh at the Aggies?

The George Bush library is there. Very cool. The bonfire memorial is an interesting monument to visit.

You can eat at Layne's, which everyone in Aggieland believes Cane's ripped off their model.

You not too far, of course, from Brenham, which means Blue Bell! You can tour the plant. There is also a little waterpark there that your kids may enjoy. I've taken mine there several times. Splashpad, a few little slides, and it's pretty cheap.
