Besides a wire brush. My grill is on its last leg, but I have to cook for about 20 people tomorrow, and the grill is getting harder and harder to clean. Is there a particular spray or solution that would help? Heck, any tricks that you have?

Spray it with easy off (oven cleaner). THEN(NOT DURING), light it and let it get very hot. remove it while hot and clean it with them little scotch-brite green/yello scouring pad and liquid soap/comet.

This is how we cleaned oven grates at Gattis, Pizza Hut, and Papa Johns as wire brushes were not allowed. Did this once a month and unlucky driver on the day shift when the GM wanted it done was SOL.

If your grill is in sections, try and fit them in dishwasher. That will do some good as well.

You have to hit the grill with the fire ants while the funk is still soft. That's the quickest way and the grill will look brand new.
