"Star gazing" is not some kind of mythical fantasy rather a statistical fact. Higher rated players are statistically more likely to succeed at an elite level at he next level. It is not to say that 3 stars cannot be successful but they are statistically less likely. "Trusting the coaches" is on the ~8 3 stars we take each year. Otherwise, LSU should be loading up on Top 300 players annually.
