Who is more idiotic here? Kid has offers to play DT at

You. The kid has an offer to play DT, that does not mean it is his preferred position. Most schools realize how raw and athletic he is, and figure that they will offer him as a DT to get him on campus.

Russell Shepard committed to LSU as a DT QB because we were one of the only schools to let him try that position.

Did he ever, ever, take a snap and throw the ball in a game at LSU?

No, we told him he had a spot to compete there. He tried for a year or so, and was buried behind real QB's. So, like the team player he is, he agreed to take snaps at RB, Wildcat, WR and special teams - literally every other offensive skill position except QB.

These teams know Dare is raw, so they will give him a redshirt year, and maybe another year to work out, get in shape, and realize that he is better suited as an OT. The dude is absolutely never a DT. As someone said earlier, best case on the DL he is a 3-4 DE. His build isnt low enough to rock a NG. You need a huge powerful trunk and a low center of gravity with quickness. This kid is more evenly dispersed weight wise and tall as hell. NG would be a terrible fit.

Comparing him to Mt Cody? You may like football and be considered a fan, but that doesnt mean you know what youre talking about. You are one of those guys that just talks louder thinking it makes you sound confident and smarter.

These schools want him on campus, and hope that after having his arse handed to him on the DL, and seeing a favorable depth chart as an OT, that he will see the light.

The End...

Well said, all of it.

I can't wait to see them play this fall as they are close by. Nothing like small town ball with big time talent.
