You guys realize the Saints were essentially a 10-6 team last year. They were 3 blocked kicks away and in terms of how efficient their offense and defense was they were a top 8 team on the football Power Index. They really weren't far off last year and they got better this offseason. As a more mature team this year they should have no problems executing their way to a 10-6 season. Sky is the limit for this team. You act like all these playoff teams have these rosters stacked with pro bowlers and all pros. They were just a tad more talented and a lot more lucky. With this offense, the Saints only need a 20th-25th ranked defense to win 11 plus games. With a HOF QB, a 3 headed monster, and a top 5 OL we really only need a halfway decent defense to make a serious run

7-9 teams lose games like the Saints did last year.
Not 10-6 teams.
The Tuna is not always right but on this point he's right.
Here's to better days.

Unfortunately, that's not how it works. I agree that we're not that far off though.

Every team in the NFL has two to three games that swing the wrong way. They also have two to three that they get lucky and win. NFL has more parity than any other professional sport and it's unique in the fact it's entire model is based on who is better today not who is the better team.
At the end of the season your record speaks for itself.
