Because he a student who has been here for the previous 3 years and probably likes it here and wants to finish his degree with out having to give some credits back via transfer. I think this is a wise thing to do, he doesn't take a up a scholarship so It should matter what you think. He is the guard looking on the outside of the rotation, he's the lone sr and coaches tend to play their younger players for development, let the kid live.

Dang, IDK where this came from... I've always been 100% for the player and their rights in most situations. I in fact would love for him to be an LSU grad. I've always appreciated his time here.

You are incorrect in the fact that they wouldn't play a lone senior in order to develop younger players. That's not how things work. Players get to play if they earn it.

All I was saying is that if his main goal is to play professional basketball in some capacity IDK why he would decide to completely sit out, away from basketball, for an entire year and then transfer when he could transfer now and at least practice with another squad, learn what their coach and program are about and then play the next year after his red shirt.

That is what doesn't make sense to me. But By all means I do not care if he stays at LSU to graduate. My entire comment was based off what seems like the more reasonable thing TO HIM, not to LSU or to ME.
