Agreed. But Chronicles and X are two completely different games, even if they are part of the same series.

While Naughty Dog made 4 Uncharted titles, they also got to make Last of Us in the same generation. They aren't forced to carry over the IPs from the previous generation (ND hasn't had to touch Jak & Daxter and Crash for instance).

Arms is the first test of that post-Splatoon strategy. If whatever Retro is working on is not a new IP, I would love to see it be another game in partnership with Nintendo using a Nintendo IP. F-Zero? Eternal Darkness?
