Africa's qualyfing system is the most difficult in the world, IMO, not because of the teams, but because of the structure. If you draw an unlucky group, you're campaign can be over before it begins. There's little margin for error with so few games, as well. How do Egypt and Ghana keep getting put in each other's way? That's like the third time in a row.

If not for the structure of CAF, CONMEBOL would definitely be the most difficult. 10 teams, and all of them are capable of beating you if you play badly. There are no easy points.
